Question About Christmas songs in America

My favorite Christmas song is Greg Lake's 'I believe in Father Christmas' and I am sucker for Wizard and Shaky...

My question is: For my American friends - what Christmas 'pop' tunes are played over and over on your radios / TV in  the lead up to Christmas?

  1. There are 2 stations that play Christmas music in the area I live in from November to Christmas - and they play everything.

I guess when I think of 'pop' tunes I think:

    Santa Baby
I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus
The Chipmunk Song (Sorry Everyone they just play it all the time!)
    Jingle Bell Rock
    Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree
It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas
    White Christmas
    Rudolph, the Red Nosed Reindeer
    Feliz Navidad
    Blue Christmas
    Let It Snow (x3)
    Merry Christmas Baby

    Need More (^.^)

  2. Oh yes.. All you gotta do is go to the American Amazon and look up Christmas Collection CDs and that'll give you a good list. From Pop, to country.. to anything.
Other gorgeous ones are the groups - Manheim Steamroller & Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
    Others are:
Happy Christmas (War is Over) - John Lennon
The CHristmas Song - Nat King Cole
Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas (any version)
Santa Claus is Coming to Town (Bruce SPringsteen version)
All I want for Christmas is You - Mariah Carey
12 Days of Christmas - Straight No Chaser

  3. I have to agree with Nicole and Freddy they all play the same song. Every now and then you can get a station that slips in a little Bob Rivers Twisted Christmas CD or a little beach boys holiday song. But here in the states it is the same thing every year.
