Eli Easton - The Enlightenment of Daniel, Before I Wake, The Lion And The Crow

Yes, I love Eli Easton. Yes, I think I have read everything she's written now. Yes, I mainlined all three of these in two days... ROFL...

If you haven't read Eli then seriously... I recommend you try...

The Enlightenment of Daniel (Sex in Seattle #2)

Business tycoon Daniel Derenzo lives for his work until his dying father reminds him life is short. When Daniel starts to reevaluate his world he experiences a startling revelation—he’s attracted to his business partner and best friend, Nick, even though Daniel always believed himself to be straight.

In typical type-A fashion, Daniel dissects his newfound desires with the help of the experts at the Expanded Horizons sex clinic. He goes after Nick with the fierce determination that’s won him many a business deal.

Nick Ross was in love with Daniel years ago, when they were roommates in college. But Daniel was straight and Nick patched his broken heart by marrying Marcia.

Two kids and fourteen years later, they go through the motions of their marriage like ships passing in the night. But Nick’s kids mean the world to him, and he’s afraid he’ll never get joint custody if they divorced. If he can trust his heart to an awakening Daniel, they all might find their way to a happily ever after.

Review: 5/5 - How i wish I had written something like this story. Beautiful. A must read. I read this in one sitting and could not put it down. I loved how much thought went into creating Nick's family, and the connections between generations. This can be read as a standalone but you should read book 1 for the full experience. Read my review of book 1 - The Trouble with Tony

Before I Wake (Torqued Tales)

Nurse's aide Jonesy is drawn to Michael, the comatose victim of a hate crime whose homophobic parents have rejected him. Jonesey sits with Michael, reads to him, and encourages Michael to wake up.

Jonesy may not be the smartest guy in the world, but he knows Michael needs him.

And if he also thinks Michael is the most beautiful thing he's ever seen, well, Jonesy knows better than to hope for things that can never happen.

Michael is lost in a dungeon, a dark and terrifying place. His only comfort is the sound of a man's voice.

Can Michael come back? Does he want to? Maybe Jonesy can convince him that some things are worth living for.

Review 4.5/5: I adored this short story. Eli handled this beautifully. I would love to have read more on this couple.

The Lion and the Crow - Free Read

This is a tale about two medieval English knights—Sir William Corbet, aka the Lion, and Sir Christian Brandon, aka The Crow. In a time when duty was everything, personal honor was more valued than life itself, and homosexuality was not tolerated by the church or society, how can these two men reconcile their deepest, most secret yearnings to love another man?

Sir Christian was raised in a household where he was hated for his unusual beauty and for the sake of his parentage. Being smaller than his six brutish half-brothers, he learned to survive by using his wits and developing a gift for strategy. He feels little loyalty to the system that’s abused him since birth.

Sir William, a large and fierce warrior, has pushed his unnatural desires down all his life. He’s determined to live up to his own ideal of a gallant knight. But when he takes up a quest to rescue his sister from her abusive lord of a husband, he’s forced to undertake a journey with Christian. It’s a partnership that will test every strand of his moral fiber, and, eventually, even his understanding of the meaning of duty, honor, and love.
