I wrote the fifth book in the series first (one that has not been published yet!). Of course, it was not the fifth book of a series...it was just a story about a mysterious man named Vin Vanbly. I liked that story so well, I thought to myself, "Hmmmmm....I could see a couple books coming ahead of this." <br /><br />So, yes, all of the books are plotted out. Some were very detailed, such as King Perry and even the fourth book. But the second book was very high level "a treasure hunt on a farm with a bunch of local men helping out." And I had no idea what would happen once I had to start writing that book. I had Vin's plots and revelations plotted out to a very specific degree, knowing when certain facts would be revealed about him and how.
