Twelve Days of Christmas: Day 5 Vicky Locey

For our first of two guests today we have VL Locey...

I’d like to thank RJ for having me over to visit today. It’s so wonderful to spend holiday time with friends and family. An important part of this season for me is holiday music. Music has always held a special place in my life, and in my stories. While I don’t generally work with music in the background, songs can play important roles in my work. Also, I think you can get a real taste for a character by the music they enjoy. Today I have a playlist to share with you with some songs that I feel really capture Adam and Cason, the leading men in Holly & Hockey Boots. I hope you enjoy the tunes and have a happy holiday season!

VL is giving away a backlist title of one of her hockey books to one lucky commenter.

The Book

Minor league goalie Adam Seiger is a nice guy. He’s kind, cute, and a little quirky (but show me a goalie who isn’t) and he loves to interact with fans. During a meet and greet after a game Adam meets Cason Reyes, a hard-working young man with stunning amber eyes and a smile as sweet as a candy cane. Desperate to see Cason again, Adam does something more than a little naughty.

To add insult to the egg nog, it appears that one little white lie may end Adam’s chance of having a merry Christmas with a new boyfriend. Will he end up with nothing but a lump of coal in his stocking, instead of the man who owns his heart?

The Author

V.L. Locey loves worn jeans, yoga, belly laughs, walking, reading and writing lusty tales, Greek mythology, the New York Rangers, comic books, and coffee. (Not necessarily in that order.) She shares her life with her husband, her daughter, one dog, two cats, a flock of assorted domestic fowl, and two Jersey steers.

When not writing spicy romances, she enjoys spending her day with her menagerie in the rolling hills of Pennsylvania with a cup of fresh java in hand. She can also be found online on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and GoodReads.

Thank you for sharing the playlist of the Holly & Hockey Boots. One of my favorite Christmas song is Christmas Time by Bryan adams. Congrats on the release of Holly and Hockey Boots and a happy release day

  2. I am one of those people that has the christmas music playing full force while putting up the tree and decorations. Much to the eyerolling of my kids.

  3. The blurb sounds good and I love the cover.

Can't wait to read Holly and Hockey Boots.

  6. I don't listen to a lot of music but I do have a favourite Christmas song "I Believe In Father Christmas" by Greg Lake as soon as I hear it I feel or Christmassy.

  7. Thank you for the playlist! I love having Christmas music playing while decorating the tree or baking cookies.

  8. The blurb looks like this would be the perfect holiday treat... thanks so much for the chance :)

  9. I'm the annoying person singing along to all the Christmassy tunes in the shops!
Enjoyed your books so far, especially the Point Shot ones

  10. Music is what I like the most about Christmas. :-)

  11. Thank you for the music. I love Christmas music during the season and well out of the season too, lol. It's great background fodder for when I'm doing a task.

  12. Holiday music is great as long as the stores don't start playing it too early otherwise I get tired of it before the holidays even get here. But some songs I like all year round, like Carol of the Bells.

  13. If the blurb didn't get me (which it TOTALLY did) the cover certainly would have...dang!
I love Christmas music..just not all day , every day , starting the day after Thanksgiving.

  14. I get giddy when I hear a song from a book or character, especially if the book was a favorite. I just opened your link to start listening. Thank you for sharing and for the chance. Merry Christmas! peachescon(at)gmail(dot)com

  15. HOCKEY!!! I don't understand anything about it but I still love hockey reads. And what I love most about holiday season is the holiday books!
