Slippery When Wet - Blog tour

Celebrating and promoting M/M Romance.

Win PDF/Mobi/ePub books by commenting on this post.

When I begin to write a blog I always find I have no idea what I want to talk about. My writing possibly? I've been a published author since Summer 2010 and have written over fifty books to date ranging from short stories to the eighty thousand word Heart of Texas. I have written stand alone books such as The Christmas Throwaway, Deefur Dog and The Gallows Tree. I have written series books such as the Sanctuary series, or Ellery Mountain.

I have books with Total E-Bound and eXtasy, but I also self publish through my own company Love Lane Books.

Texas 4 - Texas Family, out 11 October 2013
Sometimes I am inspired to write a fifteen thousand word short, sometimes I want to write longer such as Montana 1 that I just sent to TEB which is 63,000 words and will probably be more by the time it's gone through editing and I have added scenes.

Sometimes my books sell, sometimes they don't. I wish I knew the formula. Sometimes I get the most wonderful reviews, sometimes I get one out of five, or even a DNF (Did not finish).

Sometimes bad reviews get to me, sometimes good reviews make me cry. I like to think I look at reviews positively - that I learn from my reviews, that I make myself a better writer, but then on some days I ask myself why I even bother writing... the age old self confidence problem.
I guess I could blog then about confidence, reviews, inspiration, storyline and so much more. Today though, in among all the disparate subjects that you may, or may not, be interested in, I thought I would focus on the only constant in my writing.

MM.

Sucked into this genre by reading Jared/Jensen *J2* fan fiction I have been unable to escape the clutches of MM ever since. But, then, why would I? I don't want to leave MM, I love it over here. I find two men way sexy, and I don't just mean balls deep sexy sex, I mean the adventure of falling in love and the promise of forever. I am a romantic at heart and I hope to hell this comes across in my stories.

Give-away

If you haven't tried an RJ Scott book yet then as a give-away to this post, just comment and you could win two of my back issue books to see if you like my take on MM romance.

If you are a fan of my writing (and I love you all...) then comment here and we can chat about what you want to win, one of my back issues, or a future book that you want to read.

  2. I have a number of your books and have enjoyed them ALOT. Don't be discouraged by the odd poor review, I feel some people are just in a crappy mood & want to knit pick details to death. :) I would love an opportunity to win in this giveaway. Thanks Leni

I admire anyone who puts something they have created out there for others to take pot shots at - nice and not so.

  5. I love your books, and I have to agree with you about m/m. There's just something about two guys together. I don't see myself ever leaving the genre behind. x

  7. It would be great if you know the formula to what sells and don't but that's impossible. So always look on the positive side of things. :)

  8. I love your writing! My first book of yours was The Heart of Texas. Wow. Blew me away. I can't help you with a formula for success because I've found I like different styles at times. Some times I'll challenge my comfort zone and bam! found a new favorite. Other times I'll be reading a treasured author and just not connect. Can't explain. (so far I've not DNF'd any of your books)

Yes, it's great that other people love it, too, but we can't please everyone. Thank you for your generosity and for being part of the hop!
