When I was lucky enough to get an early copy of this book I didn't know what to expect from it. Too many times when I read an MMM book it's all about as much sex as possible in as many combinations as possible. In fact I wrote an MMM way WAY back and yep, that is pretty much what it was, just a lot of sex... rofl...
Anyway, I digress. I love Garret's writing, she is an autobuy, and her work is stunningly visual. But still, MMM has to be about the sex, right? Wrong. I should have realised this was a book by THE Garret Leigh, so there is angst and tension and love and completion... and I loved it so much I couldn't put it down.
This book is about love, and finding each other, and learning to live, and realising just what connections can be made. It is thoughtful, and deep, and the focus on tourettes isn't a fourth character, it just exists as part of Jake. There is sex, but it isn't thrown in for no reason, it's part of who the three men are, as couples, or as the three of them together.
An amazing piece of writing. I'm still blown away by it now.
