It's All About The Christmas Audio - New York Christmas

It's all about the Christmas Audio this week is another one of mine, narrated by the fabulous Sean Crisden.

New York Christmas is the story of Daniel and Christian and how they found love in the Big Apple.

Can a New York cop and a teacher find love in the city at Christmas?

It's been far too long since Christian Matthews has seen Daniel Bailey. In fact the last time they met was in college.

Seven years down the road, Chris is licking his wounds after being 'asked to leave' the private school where he was teaching. He has no job, no money, and has to rely on his friend Amelia for a job and a room to live in. He needs a freaking Christmas miracle to make this Season anything other than a total loss.

Then Daniel comes back into his life and suddenly everything seems possible. Not only is Daniel still the man Christian wants more than anything, but this time Chris may well actually tell Daniel how he feels.

It's All About The "Christmas" Audio - The Christmas Throwaway

Rachel here, I've taken over It's All About The Audio this week as I'm listening to The Christmas Throwaway on audio for the first time (shock horror, I know, first time!)

I'd been saving TCT for this week when I knew I'd be feeling suitably festive, I've read this book tons of times, it's one of my favourite Christmas re-reads and listening to it takes it to a completely different level. As always with Sean Crisden the narration is spot on :)

Because I'm feeling in the gift giving mood, I'm offering a chance to win the audio of The Christmas Throwaway, all you need to do is answer this question..What's your favourite festive audiobook?

Christmas is a time for giving - what do you do when no one gives a damn?

For Zachary Weston Christmas means sleeping on a churchyard bench in the freezing snow with nothing better in his future. Thrown out of his home for being gay, he is left without money or, it seems, anywhere to go. Until a stranger shows him that some people do give a lot more than a damn.

Ben Hamilton is a rookie cop in his small home town. He finds a young throwaway, fresh from the city, sleeping on a bench in the churchyard on a snowy Christmas Eve. Can he be the one to give Zachary his own Christmas miracle?

🎧It's All About The Christmas Audio - Eli Easton - Unwrapping Hank🎧

More Christmas audio this week and it's Eli Easton's Unwrapping Hank.

This to me is a perfect Christmas book... love... holidays... family... animals... more love... a *bad* guy... the *good guys* and most of all humour. I love Eli Easton's books and this one is just the right book to sit with the Christmas tree and lose yourself in a funny, endearing, happy, loving and it left me smiling like an idiot.

Unwrapping Hank - OUT NOW

Sloane loves a good mystery. He grew up as the son of two psychiatrists, so he finds most people tediously easy to figure out. He finds his way to Pennsylvania State University, longing for a rural experience, and ends up being lured into joining a frat by Micah Springfield, the hippest guy on campus.

Nothing in Sloane's classes is as intriguing as Hank Springfield, Micah's brother and fellow frat house member. Hank looks like a tough guy - big muscles, tatts, and a beard - but his eyes are soft and sweet. He acts dumb, but he's a philosophy major. He's presumably straight, but then why does Sloane feel such crazy chemistry whenever Hank is around? And why does Hank hate Sloane so much?

When Sloane ends up stuck on campus over Christmas, Micah invites him to spend the holidays at their family farm in Amish country. It's a chance to experience a true Americana Christmas - and further investigate the mystery that is Hank Springfield. Can Sloane unlock the secrets of this family and unwrap the heart hidden inside the beefcake?

It's All About The Audio - Alex Jane's 'Tis The Season

It's All About The Christmas Audio this week is from the lovely Alex Jane, 'Tis The Season.

This is such a feel good christmas story. Romance, love, and coming to terms with the past are key themes, and I love the extended family. Recommended

'Tis The Season - OUT NOW
Aaron has spent the past 10 months alone. When he meets a sad, yet strangely familiar man on a cold Halloween night, he impulsively invites him home. But the intimate connection they share lasts only until morning. Aaron wakes up alone - wracked with guilt and devastated to have lost his chance. Or so he thinks.

Thanksgiving brings Aaron another shot at happiness, but letting go of an old love and accepting a new one isn't as easy as everyone keeps telling him. And by the time Christmas Eve rolls around, it becomes clear that Aaron's not the only one struggling to let himself love again.

Christmas miracles are all well and good, but it's going to take more than the Holiday Spirit for Aaron to get his happy ever after.

A story of grief, sadness, and letting it go; and finding love when you least expect it.

"More fantastic drama!"

And the drama continues!! Jack and Riley are back! They’re married and still in love but the hits keep comin’!

Without telling all the secrets, I can tell you that there are: marriages, babies, a shooting, the FBI, and even more – all in this relatively short story!

If you enjoyed book one, you’ll love seeing what these guys have gotten into now, and if you haven’t read book one, this will not make any sense ;)!

I love that the relationship is never in jeopardy, and that with each new dramatic event the two men grow closer. I also loved seeing the more “family” side of Riley. The smexy times are hot! I love how they keep score as to which person’s turn it is to top! Super funny and sexy, too.

I think I enjoyed this even more as an audiobook – Sean Crisden gives this that extra layer of emotion to really draw you into the story. His voices and characterizations are just as good as book one and I think this is the best way to enjoy this series!

...it was a fun listen, fits in well with the series so far, and is a little bit like a bag of chips...you only mean to eat a few, but the next thing you know, you look down and the bag is gone.

I absolutely LOVE Sean's voice for Jack. I listened to this in one sitting, and enjoyed it all. Anyone who loves the series should grab the audio - Sean is wonderful.

🎧It's All About The Audio 🎧 - The Heart Of Texas - Narrated by Sean Crisden

It's all about Texas this week with Texas Gift (Texas #8) out in just 9 days. For our first "It's all about the audio" post we're focusing on The Heart of Texas (Texas #1).

The Book

Riley Hayes, the playboy of the Hayes family, is a young man who seems to have it all: money, a career he loves, and his pick of beautiful women. His father, CEO of HayesOil, passes control of the corporation to his two sons; but a stipulation is attached to Riley's portion. Concerned about Riley's lack of maturity, his father requires that Riley 'marry and stay married for one year to someone he loves'.

Angered by the requirement, Riley seeks a means of fulfilling his father's stipulation. Blackmailing Jack Campbell into marrying him "for love" suits Riley's purpose. There is no mention in his father's documents that the marriage had to be with a woman and Jack Campbell is the son of Riley Senior's arch rival. Win win.

Riley marries Jack and abruptly his entire world is turned inside out. Riley hadn't counted on the fact that Jack Campbell, quiet and unassuming rancher, is a force of nature in his own right.

This is a story of murder, deceit, the struggle for power, lust and love, the sprawling life of a rancher and the whirlwind existence of a playboy. But under and through it all, as Riley learns over the months, this is a tale about family and everything that that word means.

Reviews

"The Heart of Texas certainly struck a chord with my own Texas heart. This romance has it all: enemies to lovers, a murder mystery, a dysfunctional oil-rich family, and so much more.Jack is the middle son of a good family that has been wronged almost to bankruptcy. The Campbells have a history with the Hayes that is not good, but they are hanging on by their fingernails to their horse ranch. There is a lot to uncover in a past generation but it is all shrouded in secrets, dirty abuse of power, and so much hate.

The plot is layered with good and evil, secrets and lies, on the way to several HEAs. Loved it and couldn’t put it down.

I read the e-book and later listened to the audiobook version. Sean Crisden is a masterful narrator and brought every character to life with great individuality." Becky - USA Today

"If you like the forced marriage trope, coupled with high drama, family politics, old feuds, murder mysteries, lots of plot twists and turns, and really entertaining narration then look no farther - The Heart of Texas has it all!

This is the quintessential feuding families high drama soap opera story. It's absolutely scandalous!

Sean Crisden is absolutely wonderful! He brings Jack's Texas drawl and growling tones, and Riley's upper crust and more subtle tones, to life as well as doing a great job with the various feminine voices of the story. I enjoyed his timing, pacing, and the way he navigated the different dramatics of the material.

Sean Crisden’s honeyed and mellifluous tones kept me entertained, involved, and waiting for the next dramatic moment." - Audible User
